Our fees are flat and published up front, so you know what your review will cost before you submit. Pricing depends on the type of research and the level of review your study requires.

How to Submit
- Schedule a call. Start with a short conference call with TIER staff to talk through your study and confirm the right review pathway.
- Send a complete application. Submit your protocol, consent documents, and supporting materials.
- Completeness check. Our coordinator reviews your submission within 2 business days and lets you know if anything is missing.
- Review begins. The review clock starts 1 business day after we receive a complete application. Incomplete applications slow the process, so the pre-submission call is worth it.
Good to Know
- Annual continuance: non-exempt studies must be re-reviewed at least once a year. Continuance is optional for exempt studies.
- Amendments: any change that affects participants must be reviewed before it is put in place. The only exception is an immediate change needed to protect participant safety, and you should contact us as soon as possible when that happens.
- Payment: we email an invoice you can pay online by card or ACH. Payment by check through certified mail can be arranged in some cases.
